Dumbwaiter Specs/Pricing

GENERAL DETAILS

What is a Dumbwaiter?

A dumbwaiter is a small service lift that is used to transport things from one level to the next. It eliminates the need for you to perform all of the lifting and hauling yourself. Groceries, small pieces of furniture, baggage, laundry, and other items can all be transported with your dumbwaiter. They are appropriate for both residential and commercial structures.

COMMON SERVICE/ ENTRY HEIGHT

  1. COUNTER HEIGHT

Our counter height serving option is popular in business settings, but it may also be used in a home. Because items can be readily carried from a standing posture, the dumbwaiter has an overhead drive and is appropriate for bigger loads that demand less pressure on our customers' backs

2. UNDER BENCH

In home settings, our under-bench solution is popular. The dumbwaiter features a basement drive, which reduces kitchen noise and allows the dumbwaiter to be disguised amid other kitchen appliances. This style includes a prefabricated top-floor landing unit that fits beneath your kitchen counter.

3. FLOOR/ TROLLEY ENTRY

In commercial and industrial settings, our floor entrance option is very popular. Larger vehicle sizes need the use of a trolley to move heavy goods to and from the lift car, hence the dumbwaiter was developed with that in mind.

SERVICES

How may we serve you

1. INSTALLATION

Any dumbwaiter installation, whether it's a new construction or a retrofit, will necessitate some construction work on our customer's part. Below are some crucial considerations, and our team is always available to answer any queries.

The builder supplies and installs the lift shaft, machine room, and landing doors; however, landing doors are not required on all models.

When the design is approved, instructions for placing the timber supports are provided.

For the machine, a dedicated 20 amp single phase is required.

Shaft lighting and a utility power outlet are required, and their locations will be decided after design approval.

The machine, car, and lift rails must all be installed before the front wall of the shaft can be enclosed.

On acceptance of the final design, the full builder's requirements and instructions will be sent.

2. REPAIRS

Are there too many breakdowns?

Struggling to lift your load capacity?

Is there a dumbwaiter trapped in the shaft?

Is it a bumpy ride or a noisy one?

Operation on a sporadic basis?

Is the use of call buttons becoming obsolete?

If any of the above or other continuing problems with your dumbwaiter are a concern, contact us right away and we'll come out to your location free of charge to explore a solution.

2. MAINTENANCE

Your dumbwaiter is an important aspect of your business, and it should be serviced on a regular basis to keep it safe and functional. This will not only keep it running when you need it most, but it will also help you comply with severe Health and Safety laws as well as Building Code requirements. By offering a maintenance schedule for your dumbwaiter, NZ Dumbwaiters can assist you in meeting your commitments.

Our maintenance plans are based on the type of dumbwaiter we install and the amount of use it gets.
